I Kings 6 – Chapter 8. Dedication of the Temple and the Implementation of THE PLAN. The Temple is finished, the Ark is brought in (with certain things missing, and possibly buried within the 2nd Ark). The Biocentric Presence fills the Temple. Is the Cloud of God and actual expression of the Presence, or is it meant to conceal the Presence. If so, what is being concealed (hint, read Ezekiel). Solomon then offers his prayer. God is not just a national god of the nation, like all other Gods, rather God is the God of the universe, and that means that he is also the God for all peoples. The Temple is open to all and Solomon prays that God should hear the prayers of all, regardless of their race, religion or creed. This was THE PLAN, why God brought Israel out of Egypt, why Sinai, and why the Temple. God's blessings are predicated upon righteousness and proper behavior, these alone, alongside sincere prayer are presented as being the criteria for receiving God's salvation.
